The establishment of IPPA-Guyana answers directly to the call for building local content capacity in the energy and petroleum sectors.
The Institute is committed to the adherence of recognized international accounting and auditing standards and guidelines.
Its members shall endeavor to become suitably qualified. In this regard, the Institute is seeking membership of the Council of Petroleum Accountants Society (COPAS) and provides training and tuition for members to be qualified Accredited
Petroleum Accountants (APA®). Members are required to update their expertise through mandatory continuing professional education.
